Light microscopy images demonstrating morphology of MDA-MB-231 cells after glutamine deprivation. Morphology of the MDA-MB-231 cell line after 24 h, 48 h, 72 h and 96 h of glutamine deprivation compared to MDA-MB-231 cells propagated in complete growth medium 24 h, 48 h, 72 h and 96 h. Glutamine deprivation for 96 h decreased cell density slightly when compared to cells propagated in complete growth medium. No other significant changes in morphology were observed after glutamine deprivation when compared to cells propagated in complete growth medium (×20 magnification)
