miR-22 suppressed tumorigenesis and improved radiosensitivity of breast cancer cells by targeting sirt1. MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells were transfected with miR-22, miR-NC or combined miR-22 and pcDNA-sirt1 and further experiment analyses were carried out 48 h post-transfection. Cell viability of transfected MCF-7 (a) and MDA-MB-231 (b) cells were assessed by CCK-8 assay. Flow cytometry analysis was performed to determine apoptosis in transfected MCF-7 (c) and MDA-MB-231 (d) cells. Colony formation assay was carried out to calculate survival fractions in transfected MCF-7 (e) and MDA-MB-231 (f) cells after treatment with different single doses of irradiation (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 Gy). *P < 0.05
